An online English-language support group has been launched for foreigners living in Hungary who are interested in domestic adoption. We welcome individuals or couples where one or both partners do not speak Hungarian.
Still unsure if adoption is right for you?
Have you already applied or want to apply but don’t know much about the process?
Not yet committed but eager to explore adoption?
Then the Start program is for you!
Topics we’ll cover:
- Adoption conditions and steps
- Age limits for adoption
- How county and national lists work
- Application specifics
- The eligibility process
- Is attending a course worthwhile?
- What affects waiting times, and how to speed things up
- Adoption chances for singles
- Recent legal changes and their impact
- Plus, any questions you have!
The group focuses on foreigners living in Hungary:
- What variations to expect in the process
- The types of children available for adoption
- Where you might encounter discrimination
- How to overcome language and cultural challenges?
What this group offers:
- Information
- A chance to decide if adoption is for you—without commitment
- Support from others in similar situations
- A sense of community
- Learning from each other’s experiences
- A relaxed, friendly atmosphere where crying and laughter are welcome
- What’s shared in the group stays in the group. By registering, you agree to this.
